This book of contemporary illustration from the AOI ( association of illustrators ) defines design and new media as "work comissioned for use in packaging ie record sleeves, wine labels, calenders, stationary, brochures, catalogues and greetings cards for commercial and private use." It gives lots of examples of successful design for many different briefs.
